Eye Spied 5 - Best of M&S Sale ( starts tomorrow ! )

This morning I received an e mail from M&S advising me that, as a loyal customer, I had been given the opportunity to preview the 50 % Off Sale, before it starts tomorrow. I'm not sure that being included in that list is something to be proud of. It probably means that, had I not have spent so much in that particular Store, we could all have been heading off  to The Emelisse in Fiskardo this Summer, rather than to a log cabin in The Forest of Dean ! It's all about choices, as my Ex Husband would say !!

Anyway, I have had a look through 9 pages of Ladies Fashions on your behalf, well ok, on our behalf (I've already ordered ) and have put together the Top Buys. I haven't included jeans as it would have taken too long. You need this information now, in readiness for tomorrow. There are plenty of jeans though, and a few summery white ones which you should try and grab. Also, and I apologise in advance, some of the photos are not brilliant. M&S makes it hard to grab the pictures but to go and find them on the internet would mean further delay.

They are in no particular order, just as they come. A pot pourri of sale buys !

Sales are a time to get staples but also splash out on a bit of high fashion for a good price. The first in the latter category is this Cotton Rich Belted Kimono Autograph £37.50 (from £75). This style has been everywhere in the Fashion Press this Season. No sleeves seems a bit odd to me , but its fashionable now and £37.50 doesn't seem too high a price to be at the cutting edge does it ?

I put this in an earlier blog. Its still not cheap but is really luxe. There is a synthetic version ( I've included it later ) so you can apply the Margarita test to them both.

M&S Collection Bonded Scuba Floral Prom Dress £32.50 (From £65 )

Really stylish monochrome dress which is both feminine and edgy.

I have been after this for ages but sadly its now sold out in my size. Jumpsuits on trend now and through to AW 15. Get it if you can.

Restricted sizes on line but definitely worth checking in store. Instant wardrobe update.

Sorry the trousers are pictured in two halves, but you get the idea. This style ( a truncated version of the jumpsuit) is still everywhere. "Sports Luxe" to give it it's proper name-comfy and stylish in real person speak!

The same to be said of this Best of British for M&S Collection Modal Rich Zip Jumpsuit £29.50 (from £59). I'm not sure about the white stripe on the leg but it is on trend. We are not sheep however, so its your call!

M&S Collection Cotton Broderie Top £17.50 (from £35)

Beautiful cotton in a trendy boxy style. Works with jeans or dress up with a posh skirt. This one will last.

The cheaper version! Will anyone other than you be able to tell the difference ?

M&S Collection Floral Eyelash Lace Skater Dress £34.50 (from £69)

This dress is an absolute steal. The lace is stunning. Don't be put off by the awful styling on the website. Works with pumps or heels.

Essential wardrobe staple. Plain but beautifully cut. Understated and chic.

Brilliant holiday buy. Am beginning to wish these clothes were a little more organised (by Me!) into some sort of groups. Too late though. Think of this as a bag of "Revels"- who ever knows what's next? Could be a lovely toffee equivalent or a gruesome orange !!

Can be worn with or without the straps. I have to confess, despite there being little chance to wear it in a log cabin, I've bought this one. It will come out each year I'm sure. A classic style in a print which, even at full price, looks a great deal more expensive.

This comes in Khaki and is a seriously good buy. I know it looks nothing but this is a great throw on choice which you can bring to life with your accessories. Trust me. You wont regret it.

M&S Collection 7/8 Jacquard Slim Leg Trousers £17.50 ( from £35)

Fresh and clean looking. Love the cropped leg and toning waistband.

M&S Collection Zipped Pockets Biker Jacket £22.50 (from £45)

If I had to choose one item for its usefulness, it would be this biker jacket. Smarter than a cardigan but not as formal or as restrictive as a jacket, this is the perfect solution. It will work all year round and is utterly timeless. Well, in fashion terms its timeless, not in the same league as the pyramids, obviously!!

M&S Splatter Print Zip Front Jumpsuit £24.75 (from £49.50)

M&S Collection Monochrome Geometric Print Top £9.75 ( from £19.50)

Great with white or black.

Channel your inner Doris Day with cheerful these slingbacks.

I'm thinking Mary Berry would like this one but, as I love Mary Berry, I'm putting my seal on this one. Again. Ignore the M&S styling. For this to stand a chance in the fashion arena, its really only going to be with your jeans! Step away from the hideous lacy top and ribbon skirt!

This fab shift dress was in the Dress blog. Just because its in the sale doesn't meant its not cool. Some people don't recognise style when they see it and.... most people ( apparently ) read "The Sun". Enough said ! Its in very short supply on the web but do try the shops.

Another Blog Dress. Oriental Floral Kimono Tunic Dress £22.50 ( from £45 ). As lovely as it was in the blog but even more lovely with 50% off

With matching trousers. Not sure I'd want to wear them together- in fact I definitely wouldn't-but the print is striking. Either would make a stunning addition to your wardrobe.

I have this dress and sadly paid full price ! The photo doesn't show how flattering it is but its a good choice when you can't choose and a waistband is out of the question.

Almost tribal style. Flattering chevron stripes .

M&S Collection Striped Wrap Blouse £12.50.(from £25)

A neckline which disguises both a larger bust and a flatter one. Also kind to  a less than wash board stomach with the clever draping.

M&S Collection Striped Jacket £14.75 (from £29.50 )

A versatile and flattering jacket for £14.75 ? What's not to love ?

Right, I've done my work and all it leaves is to wish you happy (bargain ) hunting .Fingers to the ready....
